Power Glide

The HP200P uses an offset Power Glide cam based on the design found in Tama's Iron Cobra 900 Series.

As the beater moves toward the drumhead, the cam geometry increases leverage through the stroke, helping produce a strong, responsive attack while retaining a smooth pedal feel.

Spring Tight

A conventional pedal spring can twist as it expands and contracts, potentially introducing unwanted resistance into the pedal action.

Tama's Spring Tight system uses a half-moon shaped spring tension rod designed to keep the spring aligned and reduce twisting, helping maintain smooth and consistent power transmission through the pedal stroke.

Cobra Coil Compatible

The HP200P can also be fitted with Tama's optional Cobra Coil.

Mounted beneath the footboard, the Cobra Coil assists the return of the footboard after each stroke for players wanting a faster return response.
