Tama Imperialstar 5-Piece Drum Kit with Hardware Blacked Out Black IP52H6WBN-BOB

The Tama Imperialstar 5-Piece Drum Kit combines full-size poplar shells, upgraded shell hardware, and Tama Stage Master double-braced hardware in a versatile acoustic setup designed for developing drummers, rehearsals, performance, and everyday playing.

This Blacked Out Black configuration pairs the dark shell finish with Black Nickel shell hardware and matching bass drum hoops for a distinctive, understated appearance.

With a full-size 22" bass drum, two rack toms, floor tom, and 14" snare, the Imperialstar provides a familiar five-piece configuration with the tonal range and physical layout expected from a conventional acoustic drum kit.

Please Note: Cymbals shown in some product images are not included and are sold separately.

Sound & Performance

Imperialstar shells are constructed from 8mm, 6-ply poplar, producing a full and warm fundamental tone with a balanced attack.

This versatile shell character works comfortably across a wide range of musical styles and gives developing drummers plenty of room to explore different tunings, dynamics, and playing techniques.

Precision Bearing Edges

The point where the drumhead meets the shell has a significant influence on tuning, resonance, and response.

Tama uses a precision edge-cutting process to create consistent bearing edges across the Imperialstar shells, helping the drums resonate openly while providing a broad usable tuning range and responsive feel.

Omni-Ball Tom Holder System

Tama's Omni-Ball tom positioning system allows the two rack toms to be positioned across a wide range of angles using the MTH600 double tom holder.

The system provides flexible positioning without requiring mounting hardware to extend deep into the shell, helping maintain the drums' natural resonance while allowing the setup to be adjusted comfortably around the player.

Stage Master Hardware

This Imperialstar configuration includes Tama Stage Master double-braced hardware, providing a stable foundation for everyday practice, rehearsals, and performance.
