NUVO Zip-Kit Essential Compact Drum Kit

NUVO Zip-Kit Essential Compact Drum Kit

A real acoustic drum kit designed to pack away and go.

The NUVO Zip-Kit Essential is an innovative compact drum kit that brings together the fundamentals of acoustic drumming in a remarkably portable design. It includes a bass drum and kick pedal, 8" snare drum, 10" string-operated hi-hat, integrated 6" practice pad, adjustable stool and 7A hickory drumsticks — then packs neatly into the bass drum carry case when you're finished.

Designed for beginners, students, schools and drummers working with limited space, the Zip-Kit can be set up or packed away in minutes and weighs just 5.8kg including the stool.

Play a Real Acoustic Kit

The Zip-Kit isn't an electronic practice system. It's a fully acoustic compact drum kit designed around the essential coordination skills of conventional drumming.

The Essential Kit gives developing players the core elements needed to explore snare, hi-hat and kick drum technique, while the integrated practice pad provides a quieter option for working on sticking and control.

Compact by Design

When it's time to stop playing, the Zip-Kit's components pack neatly into the bass drum carry case.

Two padded backpack-style straps make transportation easier between home, school, lessons, rehearsals and performances, while the compact packed dimensions make storage considerably easier than a conventional drum kit.

Packed dimensions: 30.5 × 26.4 × 38.4cm

Assembled dimensions: 61.5 × 42.8 × 66.5cm*

*Height varies according to player setup.

Designed to Grow With You

Four telescoping posts allow the playing height to be adjusted for different players, making the Zip-Kit suitable for children aged 8+ through to adults.

The same posts also provide expansion points for additional Zip-Kit toms and cymbals, allowing the Essential Kit to grow as the player's skills and requirements develop.

Right or Left Handed

The Zip-Kit can be configured for either right- or left-handed playing.

The pedals can be repositioned and the snare and hi-hat arranged accordingly, making it particularly useful for families, teachers and education environments where different players may share an instrument.

Bass Drum & Kick Pedal

The compact bass drum features a 90-degree kick pedal mechanism that folds into the side of the drum for storage.

Its two-tone silicone beater can be quickly adjusted between a softer thud and a harder thump, providing two different attack characteristics from the same compact pedal system.

Snare Drum

The height-adjustable 8" snare features a two-ply hydraulic drumhead with power dot.

An included foam mute pad can be placed on the snare for quieter practice when reduced volume is required.

String-Operated Hi-Hat

The 10" stainless steel hi-hat uses an adjustable string actuator rather than a conventional full-size hi-hat stand.

Its folding arm contributes to the Zip-Kit's compact design, while the high-performance UHMWPE fibre string provides the operating connection between pedal and cymbals.

Integrated Practice Pad

A 6" practice pad is integrated directly into the lid, giving players somewhere to work on rudiments, sticking and technique without needing a separate practice pad.
