Meinl Sonic Energy Ritual Drum 18" Moon Phases RD18DWB-SH

Meinl Sonic Energy Ritual Drum 18" Moon Phases RD18DWB-SH

Explore deep, warm rhythm with the Meinl Sonic Energy 18" Ritual Drum, featuring a Moon Phases design and responsive True Feel synthetic head. Designed for grounding rhythm, sound baths, meditation, ceremonial settings, and personal sound exploration, this larger frame drum produces a rich, resonant voice with a deep and immersive presence.

The 18" diameter provides a broad playing surface with plenty of low-end depth and resonance, while the cord cross at the rear creates a secure grip for comfortable playing.

Sound & Use

The larger 18" playing surface produces deep, warm tones with a full-bodied response. Gentle strokes can create slow, heartbeat-like pulses, while stronger playing develops fuller rhythmic patterns and resonant grooves.

Its versatile sound makes it suitable for:

• Frame drum performance
• Sound baths
• Meditation and mindfulness
• Grounding rhythm
• Ceremonial and ritual use
• Rhythm exploration
• Ambient and immersive sound

True Feel Synthetic Head

The synthetic playing head provides a consistent and responsive playing surface without the natural variations associated with animal skin.

It also makes this Ritual Drum a vegan-friendly option while retaining the warm, resonant character required for expressive frame drum playing.

Moon Phases Design

The Moon Phases artwork follows the changing stages of the lunar cycle, creating a distinctive visual element across the surface of the drum.

Combined with the dark walnut brown frame, the design gives the instrument a contemporary yet organic character suited to performance, meditation environments, and dedicated sound spaces.
