Meinl Headliner Series Snare Cajon Maple MCAJ100BK-MA

Meinl Headliner Series Snare Cajon Maple MCAJ100BK-MA

The Meinl Headliner Series Snare Cajon combines deep bass response, crisp snare articulation, and a natural maple frontplate in an accessible acoustic percussion instrument for players of all experience levels.

With two internal snare wires and a rear sound port, the MCAJ100BK-MA provides the contrasting bass and snare voices that make the cajon such a versatile rhythm instrument. From acoustic performances and unplugged sessions to percussion setups and home playing, it can provide anything from a simple rhythmic foundation to more detailed hand percussion patterns.

Sound & Use

Playing toward the centre of the maple frontplate produces a deeper bass response, while strikes closer to the upper corners bring out the brighter snare character.

Two internal snare wires create the familiar crisp cajon response, while the rear sound port helps project the instrument's low frequencies and overall acoustic voice.

The upper corners are adjustable, allowing the response and amount of slap to be tailored to the player's preference.

Designed for Acoustic Rhythm

The cajon's compact, self-contained design makes it particularly useful when a conventional drum kit isn't practical or when a more controlled acoustic sound is preferred.

It works comfortably for acoustic performances, rehearsals, percussion ensembles, songwriting sessions, and everyday rhythm exploration.

Four silicone feet underneath the cajon provide isolation from the floor while helping protect both the instrument and the surface beneath it.
